Hello I’m Amy Abbott owner & chef at Abbott’s Glen Inn Restaurant Vermont
I am passionate about cooking! I draw inspiration from Vermont’s bountiful bevy of organically grown produce. We use fine cheeses, locally raised meats & fabulous breads. Our on site garden provides fresh vegetables, a variety of herbs, apples & pears.
A foodie I guess
One look at Amy’s library of cookbooks and you know there is a culinary interest bordering on obsession. Her food philosophy is to start with the best fresh ingredients & let their flavors shine. Amy’s food preparation does not shy away from the use of butter. Fresh cream or alcohol is used to enhance many an entree. Visit Amy’s blog Inn-the-Buff Gourmet to get a taste of Amy’s slice of country cooking and to try out some great recipes.
Our quaint restaurant, is an intimate space that serves 16 ~ 24 guests and where food is savored & friendships begin. On most Saturday nights, guests mingle at the table with new friends after dessert & coffees have been enjoyed. Talk, laugh & relax. When you’ve satisfied your appetite & your ready to party then head across the driveway to dance in Club Sugarshack.
