Grab your favorite flannel shirt and your sled, skis or snowshoes & head to Abbott’s Glen for some winter outdoor fun.
This weekend only, all rooms 30% off, one or two night stays welcome.
Pack the car with what you need to sled, ski, snowshoe and head north. January may feel long, but fun is always happening in the hills of Vermont, and last weekend’s blizzard heaped the property with lots of that white stuff! Abbott’s Glen is a perfect setting for using your favorite winter gear, and don’t forget the flannel! We have 55 acres of meadow, forest & trails throughout the property for snowshoeing and sledding. The trails will be groomed so you can head out for an afternoon & easily find your way.
Back at the Inn, drop your clothing, wrap yourself in a warm velour robe, pour a beverage & head to the hot tub room or wood fired Finnish sauna.
Dinner Saturday eve will include a fresh salad with homemade dressing, pasta, hearty bread & dessert. Following dinner, head over to Club Sugar Shack for a game of pool, Foosball or to just relax by the fire. DJ Liz will spin some tunes to get you dancing if that’s your thing.
Looking for things to do off site? Visit Honora Winery in Jacksonville and have an afternoon of wine tasting. Next head to Spoonwood creamery. There you will find European style cheeses, made with devotion and a lovely selection of fine wines. Follow 100 north into the town of Wilmington, a quaint tourist town with a variety of eateries, unique shoppes & plenty of venues for a drink or two.
Back at Abbott’s Glen you are likely to find guests gathered in the Carriage house for a game of billiards, cards or folks recreating by the fire.
