Birds in a nest
If your interest is birds, then you don’t want to miss this special weekend. Retired Federal wildlife biologist, Peter Osenton will lead several bird walks on the 55 acre property. His passion for birding spans a full career traveling all over the world. Peter shares his knowledge of birds & their place in our environment with enthusiasm. He leads his tours at dawn & dusk. Guests joining on walks are encouraged to bring their own binoculars. It is best if you have water proof shoes or boots as early morning ,the meadow is still covered in dew.
Early afternoon, guests will gather by the Meadow House to have some fun creating unique bird houses. Abbott’s Glen will provide the raw materials to either build a bird house from scratch or renew some older ones on the property. If you are artistic & would like to paint a bird house, bring along some paints & smaller brushes. We will have an assortment of items to embellish your creations.
Dinner will be offered both Friday & Saturday night. Friday night enjoy a bonfire under the stars. Saturday night DJ Lindy will have the music ready for a dance party. Guests can always look froward to a fabulous gourmet country breakfast.
