Chef Amy will be teaching a cooking class on Saturday. Learn how to make pasta and some fantastic Italian dishes.

Join Chef Amy in the kitchen for this easy going informal cooking class. It will be a fun filled afternoon. All guests are welcome to join in. An Italian dinner will have everyone saying Mama Mia. Don an Abbott’s Glen apron & have a seat at the center island. A class on homemade pasta will have everyone up to their elbows in flour. Amy will show you how to crank out a variety of pastas utilizing a hand crank machine. A glass of wine & some good Italian opera will enhance the afternoon in the kitchen.
Dinner will be served in the main dining room of the Meadow House with candle light & music. Guests will enjoy a 4 course meal, complete with Italian bread & dessert.
Spice it up with some dancing
Following dinner, head on over to Club Sugar Shack for an evening of dancing naked or play a game of pool.
If you want a slower pace night, you may enjoy a wood fired Finnish sauna or a soak in the hot tub.

Abbott’s Glen now offers Yoga class on Saturday morning in a heated yurt. The session is lead by our wonderful instructor Kate. Massage services are also available via prior reservation through Abbott’s Glen.
There’s plenty to do outside if you enjoy winter sports. One can utilize the 55 acres for sledding, snow shoeing, cross country skiing & skating on the pond. If you wish to see the local Vermont towns, then look no further than Jacksonville for a winery tour at Honora, & fabulous Vermont artisanal cheeses at Spoonwood Cabin. Further up the road, on Rte. 100 visit the town of Wilmington a sweet tourist town. There you will find a variety of eateries, and unique shoppes with a Vermont handcrafts. Stop into Bartleby’s, a sweet independent bookstore.
Breakfast’s are legendary here at the Glen. We love to eat & love to feed our guests items that are seasonal with a touch of gourmet. Grab a cup of coffee & settle into the lounge by the fire, perhaps read the paper, while Amy works up a memorable breakfast.
